Dentistry in Los Gatos, CA

When should my child see the orthodontist?

Dr. Pagonis and her team recommend visiting the orthodontist at around the age of eight. However, this age preference will vary slightly from child to child, depending on their unique smiles. It is critical that an evaluation occurs early to ensure your child receives the prompt intervention that may be needed.

Early Orthodontics Are Important

Early consultation and treatment can save time, money, and minimize the need for surgery in the future. Dr. Pagonis, also known as Dr. P., will evaluate and discuss your child's needs at each dental check-up. It’s our goal to make sure you are always informed about the health of your child’s teeth and gums.

Orthodontics for children can:

  1. Make more space for incoming teeth
  2. Create a functional bite
  3. Correct tooth position and jaw alignment
  4. Improve chewing and speech
  5. Boost self-esteem
